GIVE ME A FEMALE ROBOT WITHOUT BOOBS
GIVE ME A FEMALE ROBOT THAT LOOKS LIKE A NORMAL ROBOT
GIVE ME A NORMAL ROBOT THAT INSISTS ON BEING GENDER NEUTRAL BECAUSE IT’S STUPID TO ASSIGN GENDERS TO A ROBOT
GIVE ME A FEMALE-ASSIGNED ROBOT THAT INSISTS ON BEING GENDER NEUTRAL
GIVE ME A GENDER NEUTRAL ROBOT THAT PEOPLE DON’T CONSTANTLY REFER TO AS “HE”
EVERY TIME I FEEL OKAY, MY HEART GOES FORWARD
GET A LITTLE CLOSER, LET FALL, CUT OPEN MY STERNUM AND PULL, MY LITTLE RIBS AROUND YOU
MURDER ME RACHAEL I MADE A MISTAKE
I think… I hope every LC! fan feels the same kind of feeling inside during the arpeggio intro of Cemetery Gaits. Not sure what it is about it. Definitely a physically/chemically emotional response happens to me, though. It’s like those first sixty seconds is the aural summary of how much this band has grown up and how good they’ve become.
The drive is so good, too. Tom mentioned in Heat Rash that “The Moon” by the Microphones was a direct influence. Nailed it.
Those first sixty seconds were the teaser trailer for NO BLUES and I was fucking jumped when I first heard them. You are right that it is like a summary. It has been so good to watch Tom and Gareth grow up as song writers. I feel like NO BLUES is where Gareth really embraces the fact that he has a singing voice and Tom just carries on his gentle evolution into this amazing songwriter.
I feel like Los Campesinos! are my favourite band because they are only ever as old as me. They have never skipped ahead of me or made me feel old, they are just ageing, growing and spreading like actual humans. ITS GREAT.
Guy on the train reading a book sub-titled “The Truth About Professional Cycling”. Must admit looks like a very long way to say “We are all taking a hell of a lot of drugs.”
